⚠️ Why Wider Stops on Daily Charts?

Daily candles can have 5-10% wicks that will stop out tight stops. A single daily candle is 24 hours of price action - what looks like a "wick" on daily is actually a full day of trading. Wider stops filter this noise and let your trade breathe.

⚠️ Position Sizing is Critical

A 5% stop is 2.5x wider than a 2% stop. To risk the same dollar amount, you need to use a position 2.5x SMALLER. ChartDNA.tech calculates this for you automatically in Risk Analysis mode.

🚫 Never Scalp on Daily Charts

Each candle = 1 day. What you see as a "quick move" takes weeks to play out. Use 1M-4H timeframes for scalping, not Daily or Weekly. If you must trade Daily, expect multi-week holds.

📊 Use Limit Orders on Higher Timeframes

Daily charts move slowly. There's no rush - use LIMIT orders at key levels instead of market orders. This gets you better entries and avoids slippage on larger positions.

💡 Pro Tips

  • Higher timeframes = More reliable signals but require patience. 4H and Daily charts give cleaner setups with less noise.
  • Daily+ charts need 3:1+ Risk:Reward. With wider stops and longer hold times, you need bigger targets to make it worthwhile.
  • Always reduce position size on higher timeframes. Wider stops = same dollar risk with smaller position.
  • Use LIMIT orders on Daily charts. There's no rush - get better entries by waiting for your price.
  • Check MTF confluence. We analyze higher timeframes automatically - make sure they align with your trade.
  • Scale out on higher timeframe trades. Take 33% profit at TP1, 33% at TP2, let 33% run to TP3.
  • Don't scalp on Daily+. Each candle is a full day - use lower timeframes for quick trades.
